What Are You Going To Do
Differently This year?

It’s a brand new year It’s February with new beginnings (yes, it took a while to get this post up!) and I know that some of you are reading this with an overwhelming sense of being stuck in Groundhog Day and you are also probably at that pivotal point of throwing in the towel once and for all to join the “I don’t make New Year’s resolutions” squad or you catch yourself saying something like “I’m to old for childish things like New Year’s resolutions”.

If you are one of the many, you either:

  • Make or have made many resolutions in the past without any success or sense of achievement; or
  • Used to make resolutions but don’t anymore because the outcome is pretty predictable by now; or
  • Too fearful to make any more resolutions because they they show you up for the lazy failure you have become; or
  • Honestly and truly believe they really DON’T work!

Reality remains that we are beings who constantly seek changes through some level of motivation that will kick-start new beginnings for us at least once a year. In fact, more often that not, we thrive on the regular highs which bring changes and results bring to your often daily mundane lives. Besides, who doesn’t want to feel great about tackling a new goal and achieving it with a sense of pride and enjoyment? We are not meant to stagnate into apathy or sink into depression for not having achieved and thus feeling like we fail at everything.

So if you are truly ready to give up the dream of getting excited about your New Year’s resolutions, just bear with me a short while before you make that final decision. And everything hinges on making decisions…!

I’m going to explore with you, the possible obstacles that you face every year and the remedies you can apply to overcome these once and for all.

So what is the big deal about making resolutions to kick-start your year? Think about this. The end of the year is possibly the end of an era for you. It’s means that you have completed yet another year of ups and downs, faced challenges and even experienced some losses and yet we have been fortunate to survive tough conditions to face a New Year. Is that not reason enough to celebrate by gearing up for new beginnings with a fresh approach?

So, what are you going to do differently this year?

What if you were in the game show of your life and there were only TWO choices - winning or losing; oh yes and your life depended on it.

So let us look what losing really looks like:

  • Losing is about not taking a decision yet again!
  • Losing is about choosing something/a goal you are not connected to. Yes, intellectually it makes sense but you essentially don’t get it.
  • Losing is about not feeling inspired, challenged or compelled to get out of bed to achieve that chosen goal.
  • Losing is about doing the same thing over and over whilst expecting a different result! Madness, isn’t it?
  • Losing is to be in complaint about your current situation.
  • Losing is about blaming this situation on someone or something else.
  • Losing = laziness.
  • Losing is trying to convince yourself and others that everything is fine as it is.
  • Losing is telling about lying to yourself or to others about your true state of happiness.

On the other hand is WINNING!

  • Winning is about making a decision immediately.
  • Winning is about continuing to make decisions.
  • Winning is about choosing a goal which suits you and to which you connect.
  • Winning is about being challenge, fearful and out of your comfort zone in order to achieve this goal.
  • Winning is about feeling excited to rise in order to get cracking!
  • Winning is about taking action, ALL OF THE TIME.
  • Winning is about being authentic with yourself and others about where you are at.
  • Winning is about achieving.

Have you had enough yet of your current state of being?
Are you willing to change things and to be responsible and accountable for those changes?
Are you ready to make decision and take action?
How and when?

If you are ready to risk yourself for great things, give us a shout!
